Pamlico County Library Closes for Changes

Pamlico County Library Closes for a Week

UPDATE: The Pamlico County Library will re-open on Monday, April 10th at 12:00 pm (noon). Story time with Ms. Fran will resume Friday, April 21st at 10:00 am.

Pamlico County High School is appropriating space in the shared facility for dedicated student instruction and the high school library collection. The targeted space is currently used by the public library for the Children’s Room, housing the pre-school and juvenile collection, materials, and storytime area.

During the closed period, the Children’s Room will be moved into a smaller space now used for group meetings and special programs.  “We are sorry for any inconvenience this closure will cause our patrons,” said Ben Bowditch, Chairman of the Pamlico County Library Board of Trustees. “We have no choice but to meet the demands of the Pamlico Board of Education.”
